The nearly 48-year on-going collaborating relationship between Vietnam and Japan has reached many meaningful milestones on multiple fields. Especially, within areas of culture and education, many citizens from Vietnam and Japan are given opportunities to meet and learn from each other. Being a professional job-training unit, contributing to the improvement of Vietnamese labor on the global market, Van Lang Sai Gon College continuously expands international collaboration and increases learning opportunities, experiences, and developments for students at many countries with much advanced education, particularly Japan with high standard and lots of learning opportunities. Continuing with many successes before, on August 19th 2021, Van Lang Sai Gon College (VLSC) carried out a ceremony of signing memorandum of understanding with Manabi Japanese Language Institute through online platform. This event once again marked a collaborating effort and improve VLSC’s prestige with many domestic and foreign partners.

In the signing ceremony, Mr. Truong Van Hung, President of VLSC expressed happiness on the achievements of collaborating relationship between Vietnam and Japan, and gratefulness for the support from Japanese government to Vietnamese government from the past till now. Mr. Truong Van Hung also expressed an honor when VLSC continuously has the opportunities to connect with many prestigious partners overseas, with various collaborating programs, which give many options for students to choose from. Of which, Manabi Institute is one of the earliest Japanese partners. Mr. Hung believed the ceremony would open many opportunities for meeting, and learning from each other among managers, teachers, students, and trainees.
Overview of the signing ceremony
Representative and Director of Manabi Japanese Language Institute, Ms. Fujimori Yukiji, was proud of many achievements the Institute had accomplished and joyful over the common interest between the Institute and VLSC in cultural exchange and learning Japanese language as well as relevant skill training. Since the epidemic situation is still complicated, both sides cannot meet and sign the agreement at either school. However, she believed the two schools would have many official activities directly and together achieve many good results. Not only it is meaningful for both schools but also it contributes to tighten the strategically collaborating relationship between Vietnam and Japan. Ms. Fujimori believed both sides would soon attain those meaningful results in the near future.

After the speech and sharing from both representatives and reconfirming the contents from both parties, the memorandum of understanding signing ceremony was performed in the presence of officials and teachers from both schools. The memorandum focuses on many main contents such as:
- Constructing affiliate training programs like 2 plus 2, special engineering, supports, advisory, and job references for students participating in affiliate programs in Japan in order to learn and improve their capabilities.
- Promoting exchange programs between teachers and students in the areas of education, cultural training and science research.
- Improving capabilities of teachers through conferences and training programs.
- Creating opportunities for teacher from both schools to visit, research and teach in both schools.
The memorandum was constructed and signed on principles of mutual agreements, voluntary collaboration, respect and support each other from both schools.

Through continuing establishing collaborating relationship between Van Lang Sai Gon College and Manabi Japanese Language Institute, students of VLSC will be given more learning opportunities and practical experience. With the opportunity of experiencing foreign culture and paid internship based on Japanese government’s regulations, students of VLSC will be trained and actively engage in worldwide labor market, contributing to maximizes the capabilities and qualities of Vietnamese labors on international market.
